Review and Giveaway: Heir of Fire by Sarah J Maas

Lost and broken, Celaena Sardothien’s only thought is to avenge the savage death of her dearest friend: as the King of Adarlan’s Assassin, she is bound to serve this tyrant, but he will pay for what he did. Any hope Celaena has of destroying the king lies in answers to be found in Wendlyn.

Sacrificing his future, Chaol, the Captain of the King’s Guard, has sent Celaena there to protect her, but her darkest demons lay in that same place. If she can overcome them, she will be Adarlan’s biggest threat – and his own toughest enemy.

While Celaena learns of her true destiny, and the eyes of Erilea are on Wendlyn, a brutal and beastly force is preparing to take to the skies. Will Celaena find the strength not only to win her own battles, but to fight a war that could pit her loyalties to her own people against those she has grown to love?

5 Words: IT'S SO FREAKING KICK ASS!

When I finished this book I just sat there, staring at the gorgeous back cover. Because. Because...

I read that ending twice. TWICE. And I still can't get my head around it and WHERE IS THE NEXT BOOK ALREADY?

This series truly goes from strength to strength. I cannot get enough of it. I've pushed it on my friends, my family, strangers in the street. Really, I have. I gush about it and tease people with snippets.

With every book, I understand Celaena a little bit more. And I love her more and more with each page of her story.

This story introduced so many new characters. SO MANY. Really. Lots and lots. And there were some I didn't like at the start, who I now can't wait to read more of, and one who I'm not quite decided on.

  1. Hi, Cora, HJM here
Couldn't resist trying to win a free book (Even though I've already read it as an e-book. Speaking of, I recently travelled to my country's capital, and their book store had the paperback Crown of Midnight! I was so happy to buy it! :D)

Anyway, great review. I also loved Celaena more and more as the story progressed. Can't wait for the next book.
