Book Beginnings #11

For Book Beginnings, Rose City Reader invites us to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.

I am currently reading Christmas Ever After by Sarah Morgan.

Skylar Tempest stepped out of her hotel and lifted her face to the sky. Soft, thick flakes of snow drifted down from a sky of midnight blue, dusting her hair and blending with the wool of her white coat. It was like standing in a snow globe.

I can barely contain my excitement. I love Sarah Morgan's writing and I love Puffin Island. Add Christmas to the mix and I'm in heaven! There have been so many excellent reviews already for this final instalment to the series that I can't wait to jump in.

  1. Love the sound of this one...I am all in when a book has descriptions that make me feel as if I'm there.

    Here's mine: “THE ACCIDENT SEASON”
