Book Beginnings #30

For Book Beginnings, Rose City Reader invites us to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.

I was under a tree in my garden with the guy of my dreams and there was a Hollywood director on the phone. For me.
It feels like I've waited forever for this next installment in Elektra's story. This one picks up exactly where the last one ended, with the same familiar style, and I'm finding myself quickly drawn into the story.

I am so excited to see where this goes. Elektra is one of my favourite YA characters - I love how real she is. I love that she has self-doubt, how things sometimes go devastatingly wrong, how she faces the trials of growing up. I also love her ambition and excitement.

  1. What fun! I love the movies, so stories about actors intrigue me. Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
