Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and is a chance for everyone to get to know fellow bloggers and share lists. I love lists. Every week is a different list.
This week is Top Ten Books On My Summer TBR list.
This is a hard one for mew, as I just pick up whatever, whenever. Also, a lot of my summer reading is re-reads of old favourites that I know are prefect for reading in that good old English summer rain. So here goes, in no particular order as usual...
- Goose by Dawn O'Porter
- This Northern Sky by Julia Green
- Pirates! by Celia Rees
- Peace Weavers by Julia Jarman
- Acid by Emma Pass
- Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
- Secrets of the Henna Girl by Sufiya Ahmed
- The Dead House by Anne Cassidy
- The Castle by Sophia Bennett
- Entangled by Cat Clarke
Oh look, it's all UKYA again. Whoopsie! (But not really, cause UKYA rocks!)
Just gotten the audiobook for Code Name Verity and... I'm excited yet apprehensive of my first WW2 fiction. Hope we'll enjoy reading it! Have a great summer =)

I'm listening to it now, it's fantastic. The narrator has the most gorgeous Scottish burr and I could listen to her forever. Thank you Sync!
DeleteI have heard so many good things about Code Name Verity. I have the audiobook too.
ReplyDeleteThe Good things are true!
DeleteRereads is a great summer reading strategy, I think! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Summer TBR list!
Great picks! Entangled and Code Name Verity have been on my shelf for so long, it's kind of ridiculous; I should try to read them this summer too!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to read Code Word Verity for a while now. Maybe we'll all get to it this summer.
DeleteI really liked Entangled, Code Name Verity and Acid. I hope you enjoy them too.
ReplyDeleteCode Name Verity was so great; I'm glad to see that you're enjoying the audio version! Thanks for stopping by our Top Ten!
ReplyDeleteCode Name Verity is also on my list...everyone praises it so much, I hope it lives up to expectations! *crosses fingers*
ReplyDeleteI still haven't read Code Name verity yet either. I have it and Rose Under Fire, I just need to make to time to read it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
Aly @ My Heart Hearts Books
Haven't read any of these yet, but I hope you'll enjoy them! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteEntangled is one of my favourite books, I will have to re-read it again soon! Great picks and enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteCode Name Verity is one I definitely want to read soon! :)
ReplyDeleteCastle looks really good!
ReplyDeleteI really need to get my hands on Code Name Verity, it sounds amazing! There's a very special place in my heart for Celia Rees; she was the author who first got me into historical fiction during my early teens, in fact Pirates! was the first novel of hers that I read. :) I hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeletePirates! is a re-read :) I read it about 10 years ago for the North East Teenage Book Awards and if you saw my copy you'd probably be disgusted at the state of it! It's been passed around and read so many times the cover is peeling off and pages are about to fall out.
DeleteOh I've had ACID on my list for some time now and have also been curious about Code Name Verity. I haven't heard of these others, but I'll be sure to check them out!
ReplyDeleteOooh! Code Name Verity is sooo good!!! That's the only book on your list that I've read. Will check out some of these others - they sound really intriguing. :)
ReplyDeleteI really want to read Code Name Verity too.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading! My TTT:

ReplyDeleteI just bought Code Name Verity because it seems everyone who has read it simply raves about it. Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteI really liked Verity. A LOT. It's a powerful read.
