Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and is a chance for everyone to get to know fellow bloggers and share lists. I love lists. Every week is a different list.
This week is Top Ten Favorite Heroines From Books.
Just let me fangirl a while and then I'll write the list. Promise.
OK... So, in no particular order, meet the heroines that I read again and again. Because I've re-read every one of the books/series so many times since I discovered them I can quote whole passages. AWESOME.
- Alexia Tarabotti (Parasol Protectorate by Gail Carriger)
- Celaena Sardothien (Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas)
- Cassandra Mortmain (I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith)
- Rayne (Possessing Rayne by Kate Cann)
- Sophronia Temminnick (Finishing School by Gail Carriger)
- Lucy Carlyle (Lockwood and Co. by Jonathan Stroud)
- Caitlin McCann (Lucas by Kevin Brooks)
- Meg Lytton (Tudor Witch by Victoria Lamb)
- Hawise (Shadows and Strongholds by Elizabeth Chadwick)
- Lacey Flint (Lacey Flint by Sharon Bolton)
Fab list! I love seeing TTTs that are different to mine, it gives me so many books to add to my TBR :-D

ReplyDeleteMY TOP TEN TUESDAY
Ooh you have to! It's awesome. You have to stick with it though, I found it a little hard going at first. But it's so worth it.
DeleteElizabeth Chadwick you read and the one I read are different people, writing w a similar flair. I've got to try that Sarah Maas series everyone loves so much.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I can stop fangirling and gushing at the awesomeness that is Sarah J Maas!
DeleteI know there's another Elizabeth Chadwick, but I've never been able to track down any of her books. 20 years on they'll be even harder to find.
Great list! The first book in the Tudor Witch trilogy's on my shelf, I should really get around to reading it soon...
ReplyDeleteHaven't heard of half of these, I have some reading to do! Love Alexia Tarabotti, I nearly added her but then I was more limited in my list ( :

ReplyDeleteHaven't read any of the books but my friend is crazy about Throne of Glass so she might force me to read it one of these days haha.
ReplyDeleteCelaena for the win!!

Ooh, Lockwood and Co.! I love Jonathon Stroud's writing. His descriptions. I don't believe I've read many of the others, apart from I Capture the Castle, though I'm dying to read Throne of Glass. If only my library had it.
ReplyDeleteI love the Parasol Protectorate books! Alexia is a great heroine. I can't wait to get my hands on the first Prudence book!
ReplyDeleteI've got it pre-ordered and will probably be sat outside waiting for the postie on release day.
DeleteI have to admit that other than I Capture the Castle, I haven't read any of these! Uh oh, I sense some additions to my reading list..... :)
ReplyDeleteGreat list. I really like the look of the Gail Carriger books and keep thinking I should read them. Same for Throne of Glass. Everyone seems to love those books so I keep thinking I'm missing out :D
