Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and is a chance for everyone to get to know fellow bloggers and share lists. I love lists. Every week is a different list.
This week is Top Ten
Books to Read By the Pool/At the Beach
I always have Good Intentions when it comes to my summer reading, but I tend to actually just lay around daydreaming and people watching. Whoopsy. But here are ten books I recommend for beach and pool-side reading.
- Darkmere by Helen Maslin
- Songs About A Girl by Chris Russell
- Sex, Lies, & Cruising by Cathryn Chapman
- Little Black Lies by Sharon Bolton
- First Time In Forever by Sarah Morgan
- Sundowners by Lesley Lokko
- The Castle by Sophia Bennett
- Full Steam Ahead by Valerie Chase
- Maresi by Maria Turtschaninoff
- A Girl Called Malice by Aurelia B Rowl
What will you be reading this summer?
I haven't read any of these yet, but I actually own Maresi. Maybe I'll have to pick it up over the summer!
ReplyDeleteMaresi is so good, it's honestly amazing.
DeleteWhat fun summer reads! If I wasn't reading so much horror and psychological thrillers, this would be the perfect list! Sundowners and A Girl Called Malice look amazing.
ReplyDeleteDarkmere! Swooning over that cover. Gothic summer read? Yes, yes, yes!
Maresi has been on my TBR for a long time! Think I need to get it out and read it ASAP :)

I haven't read any of these yet. I keep meaning to pick up Chris Russell's books though, I've heart great things .
ReplyDeleteI didn't know any of these, but after looking at Goodreads I can say that Little Black Lies looks good (and chilling). Darkmere also looks like a good spooky read, and Sex Lies and Cruising looks fun. :)
ReplyDeleteI've never even heard of any of these! But then again, I barely go to the poolside or the beach so hmm... Haha. The last time I read by the beach, I think I was reading Gemina?
ReplyDeleteI was planning to save Darkmere for Halloween as I thought it was spooky for some reason, but I may see if I can get to it over the summer now! I really liked Somgs About a Girl, and am looking forward to the last in that trilogy come August!

I will definitely be adding these to my TBR! I am currently readinh Brightly Burning by Alexa Done.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of many of these so thanks for sharing. I'm currently really enjoying reading fantasy so I'm hoping to plow through some of the series I've got on my TBR this summer.
ReplyDeleteWow! I've also never read any of these books so I'm looking forward to investigating your recommendations!
