ARC August Wrap Up

I joined in with Read.Sleep.Repeat.'s ARC August Reading Challenge as a way to tackle the proofs I was lucky enough to grab at YALC (Young Adult Literature Convention) and the couple I got before I left, and I have to say... I smashed it.

My TBR was not the most ambitious, but I am a mood reader so I find TBRs difficult to stick to.

Books Read

Not only did I manage to read every book on my TBR, I also managed to fit in quite a few other ones too. I originally planned to read eight books for ARC August, but I actually read seventeen and now I'm even ahead in my Goodreads Challenge for the year. So here they are, in order read, and I've marked my original TBR books with a *.

That's Not What Happened by Kody Keplinger
It Ends With You by SK Wright *
Undead Girl Gang by Lily Anderson *
You Only Live Once by Jess Vallance *
Outside by Sarah Ann Juckes *
The Island by MA Bennett *
A Year At Hotel Gondola by Nicky Pellegrino
The Treatment by CL Taylor
Ascension by Victor Dixen
Damsel by Elana K Arnold
Light Years by Kass Morgan
Death in Provence by Serena Kent
Phantom by Leo Hunt
Killer T by Robert Muchamore *
Beasts Made of Night by Tochi Onyebuchi *
Dear Evan Hansen by Val Emmich with Steven Levenson *
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

I am so proud by how much I've read, and it honestly felt so good to forgo Netflix in the evening and read for four hours after work instead. A surprising bonus is that I slept better too!

What was your favourite read in August?

  1. Awesome!! Congratulations on finishing your TBR!!

  2. I'm really looking forward to giving YOLO a go (I'm planning to go in with no expectation for it be Geek Girl, as that series means so much to me, though the humour seemed right up my alley from the first few pages so I have high hopes at the same time). My favourite reads of August were When We Collided, Tilly and the Bookwanderers and Secrets of a Sun King 😊

  3. Nice job getting all that reading done! I think my favorite books I read might have been the two from The Mortal Instruments that I read.

    Have a great September!

  4. Wow that's amazing! What did you think of Phantom!? I have that on my very big TBR pile. Maybe I need to do a challenge, it might actually knock of some of my books. Have a great September. :)

  5. Ahhh that's amazing, congratulations on reading so many! I have to admit I feel totally lost in today's realm of books, I never know where to begin, I will have to give these titles a try! :D xx

  9. Holy skies you read A LOT!
I've been so busy with life and trying to tackle some of my older books that I.. haven't even touched my YALC ARC's yet? I'm kicking myself about it too, but I'm definitely planning on reading them. [In a way, it's in my own disadvantage since I can't benefit of posting the reviews early but whatever, haha.]
