Five Books I Reread In Autumn

I love to reread books. It's like coming home, putting on your comfiest pyjamas, getting between fresh sheets. You know what you're getting, that it's going to be good, and I find that even after 20 rereads I still get something new from the book.

I recently talked about the books I reread the most, but a big part of my rereading is also seasonal. There are some books I savour each Autumn, that I hold off on reading until it's just the right time.

Five Books I Reread In Autumn

My Five Autumn Rereads

  1. Frozen Charlotte by Alex Bell
  2. The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
  3. Shadows and Strongholds by Elizabeth Chadwick
  4. Run For Home by Sheila Quigley
  5. The Magicians' Guild by Trudi Canavan

What type of books do you like to read in Autumn?

  3. I love the way you described rereading a book like wearing the comfiest pyjamas and getting between fresh sheets. That’s the perfect description and so true! I hope you enjoy your Autumn reads, Cora <3 xx

  4. I love getting in to some wintery romances which you tend to get lots of arcs for in Autumn 🍁 but I love The Secret Garden, and cosy children books like The Velveteen Rabbit we read together a lot

  7. Love your description of re-reading - makes me want to get cosy and re-read something now! I need to find a way to fit in re-reading books, there always seems to be so many new books to read that old ones don't get a look on! Think Secret Garden is a great choice for Autumn. Northern Lights would top my re-read pile at any time, but think it would make a great Autumn read, and Harry Potter too.

    1. I always make time for rereading - it's like an extra form of self care and I still get something new from the books each time :)

  8. I don't reread a lot, but glad other people do! I'm pretty sure I read the Secret Garden when I was a kid, but I'm honestly not really sure!

    1. I read it first as a kid but I think I get more from it as an adult!

  9. I really want to read Magician's Guild - it's on my TBR and I'm ready to read this & Priestess of the White. But the fact you are planning to reread Magician's Guild make me think I should read this sooner rather than later...
