Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and is a chance for everyone to get to know fellow bloggers and share lists. I love lists. Every week is a different list.
This week is Top Ten
Cosy Reads for Winter
I woke up this morning and it was cold and bright, the ground white with frost and my cheeks turning bright red in a light breeze that felt like an icy slap in the face. It's definitely time for some cosy reads this winter.
- Murder Most Unladylike by Robin Stevens
This series is basically the best cosy mystery series I have ever read, and Wells & Wong are friendship goals. - Sleigh Bells in the Snow by Sarah Morgan
I fell in love with Snow Crystal as I read these books, and now I reread them every year to fall in love again. - Love at the Northern Lights by Darcie Boleyn
The settings in this book are breathtaking, and I loved the way a broken family came back together. - The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo
This book is basically a book of fairy-tales, and perfect for reading during long winter evenings. - Christmas at the Palace by Jeevani Charika
I may have only read this book this year, but it's just so lovely that I couldn't not list it. Super cosy with some drama and lots of love. - The Woolly Hat Knitting Club by Poppy Dolan
I learned to knit because of this book, so it's extra cosy for that reason alone. Add the excellent, heart-warming story and you'd be missing out if you didn't pick it up. - The Land Girls at Christmas by Jenny Holmes
War time farm story? We all know I was sold on it already, and it was everything I wanted it to be. - Ballet Shoes by Noel Streatfeild
This is my favourite ever children's book, I just love how the Fossil Sisters face their uncertain futures head on. - The Christmas Sisters by Sarah Morgan
Why yes, another new release has jumped on to my list. Rather than being focused on romance, Sarah Morgan's latest is all about family. - I'll Be Home for Christmas by Various
This anthology really does have something for everyone, it's truly excellent. My particular favourite if Homo for Christmas.
What's your favourite cosy read?
I ADORE Sarah Morgan's Christmas romances!
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing Leigh Bardago on a lot of lists today...and I still haven't read anything by here!
ReplyDeleteDeanna Reads Books
The only one of these I've read is Ballet Shoes and it was a really long time ago. I'll definitely be checking out the rest of your list.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome that you learned to knit because of a book! Books can be so inspirational! These all sound like lovely cosy reads, thank you for sharing Cora. I'll have to check some of these out, I'm planning to do more reading over Christmas and these sound like a great place to start <3 xx

The Language of Thorns sounds wonderful! I adore fairy tales.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these, but I've heard that the Murder Most Unladylike series is fun! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteOKAY SO DID I KNOW MANY OF THESE? No. Am I adding basically all of them to my TBR list? Absolutely. I love seeing some unfamiliar titles! Not that seeing familiar titles is bad, obviously, it's just great to expand on options so I'm only drooling a little over your picks this week, haha!
ReplyDeleteI loved the Language of Thorns so much. I've got Sleigh Bells in the Snow on my kindle so will have to read it!
ReplyDeleteSeems like a nice list of cosy reads. I have been meaning to read The Language of Thorns for so long but for one reason or another, I keep putting it off :(
ReplyDeleteSleigh Bells In the Snow was my first Sarah Morgan book, and it's still my favorite to this day! All her Christmas romances are wonderful. I'm reading One Enchanted Moment right now, and it's lovely. I'm going to take a look at some of the others you mentioned here. Love At the Northern Lights really intrigues me. :)
