Books I Plan to Reread this Autumn

I am a huge rereader of books. I love the comfort and familiarity of picking up a book I already know and seeing what else I get from it - sometimes it feels like no matter how many times I read a book I always take away something new.

With the world as it is, honestly all I really want to do is reread books right now. I can't really concentrate on anything new.

Books I Plan to Reread this Autumn

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld

I absolutely loved this book as a teen. It spread through a lot of my friendship group as a book we all loved, and we picked up slang and inside jokes from it. Now that it's hopefully going to be a Netflix film I thought it was the perfect time to jump back in. I'm looking forward to the nostalgia.

House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas

I know I only read this book a couple of weeks ago, but already I want to delve back in for a reread. It also had such a perfectly autumnal mood to the writing. I still can't put into words how much I enjoyed this book, so I'm hoping a second read will prompt me to finally be able to write my review!

Monster by CJ Skuse

I am a huge fan of horror as a genre, and this book is so so good. I can't understand why it is overlooked so much because it is excellent and very cleverly written. I love the exploration of what a monster is and how dark the book gets.

Fashionistas: Hadley by Sarra Manning

Basically the whole Fashionistas series is my ultimate self-care read, but right now I really need Hadley's special brand of extravagant pampering. I love the ups and down of the series and because I've read it so many times I know what I'm in for.

I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith

This book is my all time favourite, and the book I would recommend everyone to read. It's kind of quaint and a story very much about nothing and everything all at once. It explored family and love and expectation, and I think it's beautiful. I love the softness, and I need that right now.

What's on your Autumn TBR?

  3. Oh gosh yes, me too!! Everyone always is like but there's so many you haven't re-read, but the comfort and sheer pleasure of diving into a favourite should never be underestimated!! Great list here. I'm hoping to re-read Eragon soon, but I've been saying that for about a year and still haven't done it - fingers crossed.
